SSX Blur

The One Minute Review
Conquer the mountain in style with EA Montreal's Wii exclusive SSX Blur. Players select from 12 riders, then spin, jump, flip and shred their way through 12 beautiful tracks featuring gigantic dinosaur statues, ramps, half-pipes and insane drops. In a unique twist, they steer their characters using the nunchuk, twisting it left to right to navigate around hairpin turns. To perform tricks, they jerk the Wii remote in various directions, and once they fill the Groove Meter, they draw shapes using both controllers to bust out superhuman maneuvers, all the while the music changes depending on how well they perform. No online play hurts, and the two-player split screen mode offers limited enjoyment, but overall, EA successfully "blurs" the line between realism and fantasy, creating a great video game for all ages.

Legend of Zelda:
The Twighlight Princess

The One Minute Review
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess captivates with the first swing of the Wii Remote. By waving the Wii's unique controller, Link withdraws his sword and slashes enemies, and upon aiming it at the screen, players actually fire his slingshot and bow, all while the remote's speaker emits a very satisfying "thwok." These controls make standard game pads outdated. However, Twilight Princess contains plenty more highlights. Its 70 plus hour quest is full of tricky puzzles, humongous boss characters, thrilling horseback riding sequences, a beautifully composed soundtrack and well-directed cut scenes. The game's visuals fail to surpass PlayStation 3 graphics quality and the synthesized music screams for an orchestra, but the game manages to bypass these issues with its an intuitive control scheme, gripping story and Link's transformation into a wolf. Charming, attractive and comfortably familiar, Twilight Princess shines as one of Nintendo Wii's best games.
